How are rubber pads manufactured in Industries?

Generally Rubber pad is made out of synthetic rubber. To manufacture a rubber pad, it is essential to follow certain process.

Here are some steps below:-

  1. First, choose your desired plastic mold.
  2. After selecting the mold, you should also be ready with the  wooden boards for pressing the rubber in the mold.
  3. Now you have to prepare the silicone rubber in a suitable form for manufacturing rubber pad. So, mix the catalyst, silicone oil and other chemicals until silicone gets a right form.
  4. Pour the rubber into the mold and keep it inside the vacuum mixer to remove the bubble off for 3 minutes.
  5. Finally press and fix the wooden board into mold and set aside for 4 hours.
  6. Now rubber pad is ready for production , so demould it. And you can use it for practical production in 8 hours.

And another well-known process used in rubber industries is rubber pad forming.  In this process, to deform metal sheets, rubber pads are used. High pressure is applied over the rubber pad, which deforms the metal sheets and gets the shape over the tool.

Rubber Sheets manufacturing process in industries

What is a rubber sheet?

A Rubber sheet is thin, flat, rectangular shaped natural or synthetic rubber made product. Rubber sheets are usually made out of natural latex, silicone, vinyl, EPDM, neoprene, Nitrile, Viton, etc.

Manufacturing process

In industries, manufacturers pour the thick latex fluid extracted from rubber trees into the rectangular shaped aluminium boxes. Once the fluid is fixed into the box, the box is made up-side down to remove the rubber block out of it. This rubber block is rolled thoroughly several times using a rod to shape it into sheet form. While rolling out the sheets, excessive liquid content is spilled out.  Finally the sheets are dried out and coloured using dyes.

Rubber sheets are also manufactured using the motorized rubber sheet machine and cutting machines in industries. Such formed sheets are used widely in several medical and industrial applications. These rubber products are tear resistant and have good chemical resistance.
